Brushed brass bathroom taps: the finish, the water and the upkeep
Brushed brass is the finish people choose when black feels too harsh and chrome feels too cold. In a Woodland Spa or a warm stone room it sits naturally. In hard water it still needs a cloth.
Match the set
The shower, the basin tap and the flush plate should be the same brass, from a range that was designed together. Mixing a gold tap with a champagne shower is how rooms start to look accidental. We specify one finish and carry it through.
Water marks are normal, neglect is not
A weekly wipe keeps plated brass even. Leaving toothpaste and scale on the base for a year will not. We would rather tell you that now than have you think the finish has failed.

Quick answers
Will brushed brass go orange?+
Unlacquered living brass changes with age. Most bathroom “brushed brass” is a plated finish designed to stay put. It should not be left to spot, and it should not be attacked with acid.
Does it suit a small terrace?+
Yes, used once. Brass on the tap, the shower and the towel rail can look rich. Brass on every hook and socket looks like a catalogue. We usually keep it to the fittings you chose as a set.
Is it included?+
Brushed brass is one of the included brassware finishes, alongside matte black and chrome. Premium finishes beyond those are priced as an upgrade.
