Case study: future-proof family wet room, Ribble Valley

All case studies

A Ribble Valley family needed to future-proof their main bathroom for an elderly parent moving in — but they were clear they did not want a hospital-looking room.

The brief

The existing bathroom had a high-sided bath, poor lighting, and slippery surfaces. It was still the primary bathroom for the whole household, so luxury finish and everyday usability both mattered.

What we did

We stripped back to a sound substrate, installed structural wall reinforcement, and built a level-access wet room with anti-slip stone-effect tiles, discreet folding seating, and brassware-matched grab rails.

Concealed safety

Support is engineered into the walls and layout. What you notice day-to-day is calm light, clean lines, and a space the whole family actually wants to use.

The result

A seven-day transformation: accessible for their parent, spa-like for everyone else, and managed with the tidiness clients expect from a Family Test install.
