A cheap bathroom quote versus a package price
A package price feels high until you price the alternative properly. Labour, a tray, a toilet, a vanity, panels or tiles, a shower, waste removal, electrics and a guarantee are a bathroom. Leave three of those out and any number looks clever.
Lay the quotes out like this
- —Strip-out and rubbish
- —Plumbing labour and materials
- —Electrical work and certificate
- —Waterproofing system
- —Wall finish, named
- —Floor, tray or former
- —Sanitaryware and brassware, named
- —Ceiling and lights
- —How many years of guarantee, and from whom

Quick answers
Why do your bathrooms start at £5,999 if someone else said £3,000?+
Because £5,999 is a panelled supply-and-install package with a named specification. A £3,000 figure often excludes the suite, the electrics, the tray upgrade or the skip. Put both lists on one page before you decide who is expensive.
Are packages less flexible?+
They are clearer. You can still change the panel, the furniture and the brassware. Changes that cost more are written as extras. You are not designing in the dark.
Can I supply my own suite?+
Sometimes. You also supply the risk that it does not fit, and the guarantee gets more complicated. Most homeowners are happier when one company is responsible for what goes on the wall.
