Case study: Aunty Dotty's bathroom, Briercliffe
This was Steve's first bathroom. At 17, while still an apprentice at college, he project-managed the full install in Briercliffe, Burnley, and completed a large share of the work himself. The photographs on this page are not from fifteen years ago — they were taken last month, to show how well the room has lasted.

The story
A clean black-and-white scheme, sparkle flooring, a wall-hung vanity and a bright, practical layout. It was never meant to be a fashion statement for one season — it was meant to work hard for a family home.
Why it still matters
Fifteen years later the room still photographs as a modern bathroom. That longevity is part of why Aunty Doe later asked for a bathroom inspired by this one — with her own twist.

Built to last
Good bathrooms are not just about day-one photographs. They are about how the room looks and feels years later — after daily use, steam, and real family life.
